- Gripsnake is a new North American designed tennis grip training device. It that guides your hand into the correct position for every shot. After an adjustment period, you will build better grip habits and unlock swings with less physical strain and more power, control, and spin.
- Consistent Control – Lock in the same hand position every time. That consistency gives you cleaner contact, better placement, and fewer unforced errors.
- Effortless Power – Generate more racket-head speed with proper grip alignment. Experience efficient swings, more pace, and less physical strain.
- Reliable Spin – Improve grip mechanics for topspin, slice, and kick serves.
- Instant Feedback – Get real-time tactile feedback so you know immediately if your grip is off and can fix it on the fly.
- Quick Setup – Gripsnake attaches in seconds and can be used over your existing grip or under your favorite overgrip, based on your preferences. If attached correctly, it does not slip. A small gap between the Gripsnake’s edges is normal and intended (it is designed not to go around the entire racket handle).
- Supports All Key Grips – Designed for the Semi-Western forehand, Eastern forehand, Continental, and Eastern backhand grips – one aid covers all major strokes and shots.
- Ideal for Training – Use Gripsnake during practice, feeding drills, ball machine work, or hitting sessions. Once you get used to Gripsnake, you will be able to switch positions quickly without looking down. Where permitted, Gripsnake can be used for matchplay, although most experienced players will prefer to use it as a training aid.
- Suitable for All Levels – Gripsnake helps adults, juniors, and kids at beginner levels to learn proper grip techniques. For intermediate and advanced players, Gripsnake is suitable for refining grip techniques or switching grips, such as from an Eastern to a modern Semi-Western forehand. You save on coaching time and build muscle memory.

Gives me more spin on forehand.

I am excited to find this Gripsnake Tennis Grip Trainer to help me improve my grip change for my backhand. The material is durable and just thick enough to slightly alter the grip size, but only affecting the middle 4″ of the grip on the handle. 2 elastic bands are included to secure the Gripsnake on the tennis racquet handle. The installation setup can be found by scanning the QR code on the instruction pamphlet, it is important to follow the instructions.

Surprisingly effective, great for grip awareness and forehand spin! I’ve tried a couple of grip trainers before, but this one actually stayed in place and felt secure during real hitting. Also appreciated that it offers multiple grip positions. The material is soft but firm enough. I’m switching to a semi-western forehand and this helped me become more aware of how I was holding the racket. Way more serious than other tools I’ve tried.

Very cool concept, highly recommend giving it a try. My partner also plays tennis and still getting used to it. Takes a few sessions but worked well for me.

I’ve tried similar accessories but this worked better for me because it supports the entire hand, not just one finger. Also found it quite easy to switch between grips and appreciated that it covers grips for all shot types.
I’m an intermediate tennis player looking to improve my grip accuracy, and this device has been a great help. It takes some time to get used to, but that’s also because it does an excellent job of ensuring that your hand stays in the correct position at all times, whereas without it I tend to slip and revert to my old habits.
For matches, you may want the freedom to adjust grips based on feel and use some in-between grips, so it’s more suited for practice sessions and hitting. But I think that’s what it’s intended to do anyway.

Good tool. I recommend highly for practice drills and hitting, not so much matches due to the need to shifting grips and intermediate positions. But a great learning tool up to intermediate level.

I only play tennis about once a week and struggle with consistency, especially remembering my grip. The Gripsnake has helped my hitting improve noticeably, it makes finding the right grip easy. It was simple to install, feels durable, adds extra grip, and really helps with consistency, especially for my semi-western forehand. It’s a nifty training tool that’s already making me a more confident player. Bit surprised, but very happy with this purchase!

The design is clever and I really like the concept. I understand it’s intended mainly for practice rather than actual match play, which makes sense. For me, the usefulness feels a bit limited since it’s most effective when focusing on specific types of balls. That said, I can see how it can be helpful for many players, for drills and getting used to a new grip.

Helpful tool, works for me. Tried a few of the more recent tennis training aids, this one was by far the best. Switched from old school grip to a much more modern forehand, couldn’t be happier. Joe

Great fun, this little piece of training equipment. Leaves you no choice other than using the correct grips, even if it feels weird at first. You thought your forehand is like Rafa or Carlos, but it’s not. This gets you closer.

Terrific help in making the perfect swing every time. Especially when waiting for a serve and you have very little time to react- this grip give you instant feedback on exactly how you are holding the racket. A must for any level of player.

I thought this would help my tennis, but this wasn’t for me. The item itself is well made. However, although I placed my hands and fingers on it, when I swing my racket it doesn’t seem to hold up, and my fingers tend to shift positioning. This seems to be because the product is held by two white straps on the top and the bottom. This means that the parts in between are not fastened tightly to the racket, which makes a space between the racket and the product.

Cool gadget and the most innovative training tool I’ve seen in a long time. Fair price as well. 🙂

While looking for tennis equipment, I came across this gadget and decided to test it. I followed the instructions to assemble it on my racket and it was very easy to put on. After setting it up, holding it felt awkward at first, and it was a bit challenging to hit the ball because I was focusing more on my grip than on the ball itself. Since your grip changes often during a game, you have to get used to the changes or be prepared to practice one type of shot or position. Still, it can be a really helpful training aid, but not something I’d use during an actual match.
